After the successful launch in 2024, we are excited to expand our festival to a three day event in August 2025 and collaborate with even more artists, initiatives and screening venues.
Presented by Out of Frame Cork, PRISMA hosts a selection of feature and short film screenings, talks and industry events, as well as collaborations with local community projects, all focusing on LGBTQ+ representation and promoting inclusivity and diversity in the film community and industry.
We are very excited to host the Irish premiere of three international feature films, all intimate and precious in their very own way and four regional and international short film programmes. This year, PRISMA will feature filmmakers from twelve different countries. We are grateful to see how queer filmmaking continues to flourish in various forms around the globe, unifying our communities and giving us a voice in a time in which it has become as important as ever again. We are proud to continue and further establish PRISMA’s strong industry focus, as we strongly believe queer diversity and inclusion can only start within crew structures, diverse casting and empowering LGBTQ+ voices from the very beginning of the writing process. Film is inherently political and has become essential as a platform for authentic queer storytelling, representation, joy and activism. It is our mission to ensure this light continues to shine bright through our festival prism.
